The Miracle Field of Wilmington

Opening Fall 2010

Welcome to ACCESS of Wilmington

ACCESS (Accessible Coastal Carolina Events Sports and Services) of Wilmington is a non-profit organization that was formed in 2008 to help eliminate barriers through advocating for inclusive and accessible recreation. It is often more difficult for persons with disabilities to become active and involved in their community. The lack of accessibility opportunity, experience, and acceptance can all be barriers to participation. ACCESS’s main goal is to increase opportunities and to focus on the need for people with disabilities to have the same choice that others do. To play, create, laugh, and enjoy activities with their friends and family will be the priceless result.

Thank you for taking the time to explore our website and learn more about ACCESS of Wilmington, our upcoming projects and activities and most importantly how you can get involved. Your contribution to this cause, will be giving back to the community in a way that will touch many lives. We are confident that the support we gain from the people in our community will be enough to make projects such as the Miracle Field not only self sustaining but also growing stronger with every year. Donating, volunteering, and even just helping us spread awareness of ACCESS are all ways that you can get involved and help us at making a difference. Our website will provide you with updated opportunities on how to volunteer and get involved in current and future activities with ACCESS. Please see the Miracle Baseball League of Wilmington section of our website to see how you can become a part of the buddy system or even a participant in the actual league.
